My husband who I have known for 45 years , obviously knows me. We have been married for 44 years. I have been looking for an vintage butter board online. They are very rare. I have a bread board that was my Mom's and have never heard of a butter board. Of course when I saw one I really wanted one. They seem to mostly come from England. Finding one is almost impossible and when you do they are pricey. I found one online and it sold before I could decide if it was the one I wanted. I eventually found another one that I ordered, but in the mean time my husband decided to try making one for fun. It turned out beautiful. I hung it up and will be able to enjoy it every day.
I am still waiting for my butter board to arrive from England. This is a picture of it.
I love old wood and vintage things. I am not crazy about the blue dish inside and will replace it with something different.

The butter board your husband made is very nice, Cindee. Homemade items are the best. They are made with care and love. I also love vintage things, and especially ones that belonged to my mom. I wish you a good Febraury week. The forecast here says snow this week, we'll see.
