New Garden Fountain

I saw this fountain online at a local gift store. It is 55 years old. I thought it would fit perfectly in the garden.

I can't wait to get it set up and working.
5 days left of school!
I'm not counting or anything!
Have a great Wednesday!

Last Week Of May

The month flew by and we are now headed into the last week. It comes with a full moon and a lunar eclipse. It should be wild so buckle up and enjoy the ride.😱

Now for some pictures of the new old legs.

You may remember the old legs were history so I ordered a new pair.

Well, I planned to use the old legs for another project, but when I thought about it, they were not going to work.  My husband sanded and bondoed them for me. He made them almost as good as new. Yay thanks DH!💋 He spent hours on them!

I decided that they would be used once again in the boat/beach area. I ordered a new pair of fins and they are all set and ready to admire.

Here they are with the new legs.

Lets take a peek inside the back of the boat shall we?
Spring flowers are about finished up and the summer flowers are starting to bloom.

And of course you all need a new glimpse of the toilet fountain right?😁

And lets not leave out the sink fountain.
I planted some pink begonias in my Grandmas old crock.
That crock is very old. I have had it for 30 years. My Grandma had it before I was born.
I am 60 so who knows how old it is. It had an asparagas fern in it for years, but it was looking really bad so I decided to change it up. I just sat a pot of begonias inside. I like it a lot better.

And to finish off this post, a pretty clematis blooming on the waterbed.

But wait, there is one more funny picture I must share with you before I go.
The bird and his french fry.
Have you ever heard the saying happier then a seagull with a french fry?
Well here is a parrot with a french fry.
Of course he stole the french fry we did not give it to him. It was taken away as soon as the picture was taken. He is a clever bird. Very smart and very, very sneaky. A real fun pet to have.

I hope you have a wonderful week and get to spend time in your garden!

7 more school days to left!

Happy Bird

He likes scratching. He has new feathers coming in so that is probably why.
It is funny how one day he just decided I was his friend and now he wants to be with me whenever I am sitting in my chair. He still bites, but it isn't as bad.
Maybe by the end of summer vacation he won't bite me anymore.
10 more days!

In The Boat Garden

In the boat the nasturtiums are starting to bloom.

I hope they all fill in and bloom. It will look really nice. The spring flowers are all done.

There is a lily blooming in the boat too.

This flowering maple is not in the boat but just a few feet outside.
In case you are counting. There are 11 days of school left for me!
Yippee it is almost the end.
I can't wait to be free to do whatever I want for the summer!

Bird Update

It has been about four months since our conure parrot came to live with us. Last week he decided to be my friend. He just flew over and landed on the arm of the chair I was sitting in. He then scooted over to my hand and let me scratch his head. He had never let me do that before.

I was lucky to get him to hop on my finger without taking a bite of it!

And, his bites hurt bad. I have endured a lot of them.

So, progress, on our little adopted conure.

Since then he comes to me all the time for scratches and hugs. He me to wrap my hand around him which I call a hug.(-:

So I guess I am his friend now. (-:

Saturday In The Garden

It was a long week and now the weekend seems to be speeding by.

Oh well here is what is happening.

The legs are new. I painted them and got new fins.
The old legs are going to get a new spot in the garden, but different.
Still need to find some stuff for them.

The head planter is blooming!

I cleaned up the leaves and flower petals.

Also a baby great horned owl fell from the pine tree in the yard.
This year they picked the other pine tree which doesn't have a huge space for the owlets.
So of course it fell. Also I am only seeing one. So maybe that is all that hatched this year or the other one is still up in the tree hidden by the poison oak.
The owlet on the ground is fine and the mom and dad are standing watch nearby.
As soon as it can climb up it will. For now it is safely hidden in the poison oak.

Ollie Got A Makeover

Hope you are enjoying your week. We are half way to the weekend!

Here is what is happening today in the garden.

Ollie got a make over. Doesn't he look cute?
He loves chillin' in the tub.

What's a garden without a toilet fountain?
The hostas are growing in the planter above. I had to check closely.
There was a snail problem and that has been taken care of.
Hopefully the hostas will grow really well now.
They are all minatures.

My Mom's clematis has more new flowers opening everyday. Isn't it beautiful?
I am sure my Mom would be happy to see it.
She loved her clematis.

That is all for today. I have to get to work and feed the kids.
Soon it will be summer vacation.(-:
