You would think nothing would be alive after having 113 degree days and a week of over 107 degrees. This week has already hit 110 degrees.
Well these plants seem to thrive.
They just need water.
Why did I never plant marigolds before? They are the highlight of the garden this year.
I love how big they are and how in your face colorful they have become.
I can look out the window and see them and it makes me so happy.
We had a small problem when I planted them because the snails liked them too, but once that problem was solved they took off and went wild.
And this clematis, which I don't know that name of, has been blooming since spring. It is in the full sun all day. It just amazes me. The iris need cutting back, but haven't got to that yet. (-:
Of course cone flowers are heat proof.
So are hibiscus
The lady planter has ice plant in her head. It seems to like the full sun as well.
That's it for today. I have been trying to clean up the dead blooms and pull out things I no longer enjoy.
