Last Day of April

 This month went by rather fast even though it seemed to drag.

The flowers are blooming like crazy.

I can't keep up with taking pictures. Every day the yard changes.

This rose is very hard to photograph. Almost impossible.

It is because it is such a bright rose and so colorful.

This is called All Fired Up and that is a perfect name for it.

I have empty pots that need planting. Hopefully I can get to that this weekend.

There is a lot that needs deadheading too.

And of course the grass needs cutting.

It is the weekend! I am so glad. 

I don't think I would have had enough energy to get through another day of school.

School has been very crazy this week. Was it the full moon?

The kids were wild.

I know they are counting down the days as I am.

23 school days left.

We can do it!

Shoe Garden

 If you have followed for years you remember the shoe garden.

Over the years it has changed and some shoes have gone and new ones have come.

This is probably the oldest pair still in the garden.

They belonged to my daughters, high school, boyfriends, mom.

Say that three times fast!

I had made the garden around that time. She donated a pair from each of the family.

Of course my daughter moved on since then. She married another guy, got a divorce and married her current husband. We don't see the boyfriend or the mom anymore, but she lives on in the shoe garden. The memories of her and her family will always be in our hearts.

I need to repaint this sign.

I have had the bowling ball and shoes forever too. They have held up well.

The ice skates and roller skates hold up for a long time.

The best shoes for outside are the athletic shoes.

Track/baseball/soccer etc. I have some motorcross boots that are still in great shape.

Made to last I guess.

All hatched and left the nest. We missed it by one day.

We had the date of hatch down wrong.

Oh well. Next year we will keep a closer eye on them.

Glad they all hatched and are off to see the world!
