First Peaches Are Ripe

So I made a pie.

It was yummy. Can't beat fresh picked peaches.

I wish they lasted all Summer.



And Then There Was One

Only one baby turkey left. So sad.

Hope it will survive.

Mom brought it by for a bite to eat.



Last Days Of June

Hard to believe yet another month has almost come to an end.

This year is flying by. Doesn't it seem like it was just January and we were all looking forward to Spring?
Well now, are we all ready for Summer?
I'm pretty sure it will be gone in a flash too.

I do get tired of the 100+ degree days and am ready for Fall temperatures by August.

But seriously, that is just a month away!
I guess we need to start getting ready for Fall.
Because before we know it, it will be here!

I am getting there with the pumpkins.
Yesterday The Princess dropped by for a visit.

We showed her Sweet Pea and she was amazed at how much he grew.

We were amazed at how much she grew too!

We don't get to see her as much because her Mom is off work until after the baby is born.

She has another high risk pregnancy.

We are hoping she can make it till September, but chances are slim for that to happen.

She is already having problems with contractions.

So, soon little brother will pop into this world and make himself known!

Until then I will have to try not to worry and enjoy the flowers blooming.

Enjoying the blooms is easy to do...worrying? Not so easy for me.

 

 

 

Veggies, Veggies and More Veggies!

Help! The veggie garden is taking over.

It is going wild.

We laugh everyday when we go out and see what is growing. Sometimes a Zucchini has gone unnoticed. The chickens are very happy this Summer!

We give away bags of veggies every other day. There is still more then enough for everyone!

 

Cantaloupes! There are over 20 that I counted just now. More setting on.

Should be a bumper crop for our garden this year!

Something Old, Something New, Something Blue

 The Willow Tree Garden continues to outshine the rest of the yard.

 

 

This is new, but when I received it it was shattered.

I got a refund, so all was well

But, what to do with the shards of Talavera?

It was like a puzzle.

I put them back in place. (-:

The result although not perfect, is good enough to display in a pot.

 

 

I made this flower plate this weekend when it was to hot to go outside.

The Power Of Orange

I love orange in the garden. It just lights up the whole area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is also a hot color,

 so maybe for those 100+ degree days it would be better to look at blue flowers. (-:

Baby Turkeys and A New Daylily

I saw these two in the yard yesterday. I don't know what happened to the rest of them, but at least there are still two.

 

Also while I was at Wal-Mart yesterday, I found this very nice daylily.

 

Of course no name, but it reminds me of my Free Wheelin' daylily that has not bloomed yet. I bought two incase one didn't make it. So far they are doing fine. Today will be another hot one. 108+ and it is windy! Ugh! I hate the wind and the heat. Those two together create some bad things. So water, water, water and stay cool my friend!

Fun At The Fair

First stop,

 the pony ride.

I really thought this would be her favorite, but it was not.

She liked them a lot though. (-:

 

 

Not her favorite either.

But she had fun riding and rode on the cars each a couple times.

 

 

Train ride same thing. Rode it twice.

 

Enjoyed the elephant. Wasn't her favorite either.

What was then?

 

We saw all the animals.

Her favorites were the chickens.

But, her favorite thing she says was the last thing we did...

After that one we were all baked to a crisp and ready to go home. We lasted 3 hours. Not to bad for 102 degrees! (-:
