End of June

The weather has been perfect the last few days.

I wish it could stay this way the whole summer.

Doubt that will happen, but I am enjoying it for now anyhow. 

 Still moving things around as you can see.

Glad I have so many things to choose from to add to this area.😁

A Wave of Blooms

The boat garden. You can barely see the boat now.

 A little grey squirrel grabbing a few sunflower seeds.

Beautiful, outstanding tiger lilies!😍

Plant ID Needed Please

This is a cutting from a plant in the garden. I bought it a couple years ago and it was not blooming.

There was no tag. The person I bought it from told me it was a sunflower.😍

Of course I love sunflowers so I bought it.

Well it wasn't. But I love this blue flower and it is very pretty in the garden.

You can see it has spiny leaves and stems.

It grows about four feet. Stems would need staking if you wanted to have it stand upright.

Any ideas what it might be? It has been blooming all season.

It is very hardy.

Another Rattlesnake

This one was in yard when my husband was watering. About 6 feet away.

He shot it. Never leave house unprepared around here.

So this season so far this was #21 on the ranch.

#4 here for us.

Might be working on a record this year.

I hate rattlesnakes.

You can see it blends in well with the ground/surroundings.

The head was buried and the body went home with my brother who is collecting rattles.

I use to collect the rattles. I don't know where they all went now. 

More Flowers

First up today is my Mom's holly hock that I dug up and moved here.

The seeds I planted are still growing. One has bloomed. It was single white. I will try to get a picture of that one tomorrow.

Little tree frog sitting on the lotus leaf that was torn apart by the hail.

Gold Nugget looking nice and golden and she has babies too!

Ketchup and Mustard.

That name still makes me laugh.

Summer

Suppose to have a bit of cooler weather coming this week.

I am looking forward to that.

Still moving things around with the new garden spot.

I have it one way then move things around. Someday it will be the way I want it right?

By Fall maybe? 😄

Willow Tree Garden

The garden is growing like crazy.

It is what I see when I look out my window.

Everyday I look out there I am so glad I decided to have that willow tree removed.

It opened up the yard to the sun.

Now everything can grow and bloom like it is suppose to.

Next week in the 80's? I am not holding my breath.

It would be nice though.
