Another Lady

I guess I can see how you could get addicted to these ladies.
This one is really cute. I put a violet plant in her head.
Not blooming, but still looks cute. It is a mini violet.
I have more to share tomorrow.(-:

Flowers in a Head

My Mom had a big collection of these. What do you do with them? I decided I would put some flowers in one for fun.
My brother wants to get rid of them so I guess they need to find new homes.
I kept a couple just for fun. Like this one I think is cute with the daisies in her hair.
I have a couple more I will post with flowers too.

Friday Was A Pina Colada kinda Day!

Enjoy as many as you can. Life is short! (-:
We bought a Margaritaville Margarita Maker. Best thing we have ever had.
It makes the perfect Pina Colada and Daiquiris too!
I see a wonderful Summer coming...with lots of fun drinks shared on the patio!

As We Head Into Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day is a day to remember those that died serving our country.
To honor them I have made a nice bouquet in a vase that was my Mom's.
My Dad was in the Marine Corps.

Many blessings to all who served and lost their lives.

Mom's Clematis

It is blooming another year.
My Mom lives on in spirit.
This Clematis is a Jackmanii and they are very hardy.
I grabbed a piece of it before we sold the house.
The new owners removed the 40+ year old clematis and the beautiful new redwood trellis my Mom had custom built  just a year before she passed. Her old trellis was rotted.  I wish I had dug the whole plant up. It was blooming at the time so I didn't want to remove it. It was so beautiful. I guess some people just don't have any respect for beautiful plants. I am so glad it is doing well here in my garden.

New Mosaic

The newest addition to the garden.
The item is a pear shaped red glass candle holder or plant holder.

I made the hanger for it. It has beads at the top too.
I know macramé is a little ancient craft, but I thought for this item it would work.
I added a battery timed candle inside.
I have had the glass pear for years. I thought maybe it would make a good birdhouse at one time. I had it sitting on a wall holder but the birds didn't like it. Maybe because it was glass. So anyhow I repurposed it and now it is a hanging candle holder with some added bling. (-: I might add some mirror tiles inside with the candle for reflection and sparkle. I will work on that later today. (-:
Enjoy your day!

Pete And Paula

The Pollywogs are growing so fast.
Paula has both front and back legs.  Her tail is almost gone. Each day it shrinks a little more.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is gone tomorrow.

Pete on the other hand is much larger then Paula, but has no front legs. Although there are two holes where you can see something trying to make it's way out.
Hopefully those are legs. (-:

Pete is a sweet guy. He doesn't mind being held at all. Paula on the other hand does not like it.

They will be moving to the pond soon. I will miss seeing them everyday.
It has been a fun learning experience for the Princess. She adores her froggywogs.

Then we may have to find some toad pollywogs.
Hopefully that won't be to hard.(-:
Pete and Paula are bullfrogs incase you did not know.

Froggy Sunday

Two bull frogs that live in my ponds. The first one is really big. About as big as my hand. the second one you can see is pretty small.

Strolling Through Saturday

So much to see. I am enjoying this time of year so much.
Last year we had no time to sit and enjoy anything and barely got to work in the yard.
We were busy getting my Mom's house ready to sell.
The previous years we were either caring for my Dad, caring for my Mom or the Princess was here. Rarely a minute to sit.
This is the first time in 5 years we have been able to enjoy our garden.
And boy what a treat. It is really out doing itself.
We are loving every minute we get to spend outside!
Next Summer I will be twice as busy with the new baby coming.
Hard to believe all these things have been going on these last few years.
My Dad will be gone 5 years in June. It makes me so sad to think that I can never see him again. I miss him so much.
I know he would love the garden as much as I do.

Even this turkey hen is enjoying herself wandering around the yard.
