A New Fairy House

First I want to thank WiseAcre for the wonderful donation to my newest creation. (-:
I reallyyyyyyyyyyy appreciate his thoughtfulness and inspiration to create another home where fairies can do whatever it is they do(-:
Since the fungi were growing on a tree I thought it was appropriate for the new house to be a tree house! From there I went to work with all the different mosses and what not to create a super fun place for the little magical winged creatures(-:
I hope you can see all the details.
Some of the amenities in this house are...
A large stone fireplace for those cold nights where the fairies and fairmen(The male version) can snuggle and watch the rain dance outside!
A lovely stone patio for picnics and parties complete with a table and chairs made out of deer antlers and driftwood(Lotus umbrella coming soon)
A crystal window to see the sunlight dance across the room in the early morning, complete with an acorn top shutter for the window when privacy is needed or maybe just to keep out the cold weather!
Plenty of greenery that takes no water. Some of us folks that live in the blazing hot,dry area of California know how much that means(-:
A solid roof shingled with pinecone seed shells. Sure to keep out the rain and varmints too! Mainly because the seeds are empty. Thanks to the squirrels!!!
A handcrafted door made out of driftwood straight from Whiskey(town)Lake. Unknown if the door contains actual whiskey or not.(-:

Mushrooms and Fairy House Back Completed

I was mowing the lawn yesterday and almost ran over these(-: We had enough rain to get these mushrooms growing I guess(-:



I added the two windows to the house. I found the puller part at the flea market and the other window is an old jar lid.(-: You can almost see the light shining through them(-: It looks really cool at night. Hard to capture a picture of it(-:

Bloomin' Ivy

I saw this this morning. I have never seen the ivy bloom before or whatever it is doing. Looks pretty cool don't you think? (-:
Temperatures still in the 90's here. Saturday they say 100+. I am thinking a lake trip is in the works.(-:
I really want to see some signs of Fall here. I might get some decorations out today and get it started(-:

Rainy Cactus Monday

I bought this cactus at the flea market for 8 bucks. I thought it was so cool. I have some rat tail cactus but I am not sure if this is another variety or something else. The lady I bought it from did not know what it was called.
Anyhow, I think it looks cool and it is doing well in the spot I put it(-:

Dreaming of Fall...

I am patiently waiting for cooler temperatures! It was 102 here yesterday. I am ready for perfect gardening(Fall)weather(-: I can't wait to see leaves turning colors and feel that crisp morning air(-: Soon hopefully!
