Summer Colors

The colors are bright and cheerful here.

I love color in the garden.

And even a white here and there is nice too.

I liked how the early morning sun was shining on the castle.

The secret garden is coming along.

I added a new pot. You might be able to see it peeking through on the right there.

Another Fire

I am so sick of fires. 

I think we have had enough of them through the years.

They got this one was stopped after 6 hours and for that I was very thankful.

It really creates a ton of anxiety and stress for everyone involved.

I worry so much about everything especially the animals.

I hope it rains here soon.

It is suppose to be 98 degrees today. Not to bad

Still some hot days ahead though.

Almost Friday

Another week has flown by. It seems like time goes faster when working.

Not sure if anything new has happened or not.

It's been so busy for me.

I am looking forward to the three day weekend coming up.

The garden has been neglected because I don't have enough time.

I hate that.

I need to dead head and prune back stuff.
The flowers are over grown and I am not liking that.

I planted to much in the willow tree garden this year.

What happened is, my daughter gave me a can of seeds.

I thought what the heck, I will throw them around in the willow tree garden.

What could happen?

Well you see what happened.

It is an over grown jungle.

Oh well.

Next year I will just do smaller plants.

I don't like the Mexican sunflower.

It is big and bushy and not full of flowers like I thought it would be.

I liked last year better, but I do like the zinnias.

So next year more marigolds and zinnias.

Oh and of course the rudbeckia too.

I love the hibiscus.

I could plant more of them. They come back every year.

Bigger and better.

I will have a long time to plan this out.

Winter is a good time to do that.😁

Anyhow that is the update.

The Sunflower Girl

Yup that's the Princess.

 She is my sunshine.

I love when she gets to come over.

Another Day, Another Dollar

One more day down and one more to go for this week.

Then weekend time. Time to catch up on the 900 chores that are waiting for me.💤

I will have just one day to complete those said chores since Friday night is an over night visit with the Princess. I can't wait to hear all about school.😍

Speaking of which, my school has had so many changes. Some good and some bad.

It is weird going back after five years.

I am not in good shape, but I will be after a couple of weeks.

Three hours straight of aerobics will do that to you.😜

Anyhow, this morning I got up and went out to prune dead flowers off the plants.

I also got a couple of pictures.

My Mom's clematis is still blooming. With many buds still waiting to open.

It is amazing.

First Days Of School

This is my first day of Kindergarten in 1966

Fast forward 50+ years and this is my Granddaughter heading off to Kindergarten.

She had a great first day and did not want to go home.

She can't wait till tomorrow!

Orioles

The pretty birds are still here and I decided to go ahead and order them a jelly feeder. I have read online that they really like jelly. So I am going to give it a try.

They also love oranges. I can't wait to try this feeder.

They also love hummingbird food and they have a giant orange feeder I fill with food too.

They will also eat meal worms and I also have them available.

So between all the different things they should be happy. Right?😁

I hope he made you laugh.

Yesterday was my first day back to work at school in five years.

It was weird. 

A lot has changed and yet nothing has.

Same 💩, different workers.

I will be looking forward to the next vacation.😁

Labor Day weekend will be the first little three day one.

Two weeks to go.

I can do it.🙏

Orioles

These birds are hard to photograph. They fly in and out so fast I can't get my camera fast enough to get a picture. I was so happy to finally get one.

And this clematis of my Mom's is blooming again.

It is a real survivor. I am so happy it is doing so well.

Next year it should really take off and cover the arbor.
