Another Head Vase

This is another favorite of mine.

I often wonder which ones were my Mom's favorites. Did we like the same ones?

Nothing new here. I am beginning the Spring clean up in the yard.

A lot to do to get ready for Spring!

We moved the children's fountain just a few feet from where it was, last weekend. It needed a cement foundation to sit on. There wasn't enough room where it was to do that.  So it had to be moved. the weight of it was causing it to tilt. We did not want it to fall. We should have made the cement foundation when we put it in the spot, but we had a lot going on at that time. It is very old and heavy. So now it will be level and stable.

Other then that I baked bread and pizza rolls.

I hope you are enjoying your week!

Head Vase

You may remember I inherited a lot of head vases when my Mom passed. I found a couple I liked and have used them as planters for my mini violets. This one is a cute lady.

I think the head vases are unique and they make great planters for mini violets.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Finally A Plant Post

 My Hoya Retusa bloomed.

There are several buds on it.

It is very small, but very cute.

I got this little plant during the pandemic. I have had it a year  and a half or so.
Anyhow, had to share with you.
Hope your week is going well!

Happy Valentines Day

These Valentines belonged to my Dad 85 years ago.

I was going through a box of family pictures a while ago and found these in the box.

I will enjoy them and display them on Valentines Day.

Such wonderful craftmanship on these.

A New Project

Before Christmas I bought fabric to make the Princess a pillowcase with Foxes.

Foxes are her favorite right now.

I don't sew very often, but I wanted to make her one since I couldn't find one on the internet I liked.

This is how it turned out.

Remember, I don't sew very often.

This is only the second pillowcase I have ever made.

The first one was in sewing class in 9th grade!

The back is a pink calico.

She told me she liked the color blue better then pink.

Pink is the main color in her bedroom.

I got her a comforter set for Christmas with foxes on it.

It was pink and white. I would have got the blue, but I thought she liked pink.

Oh well. Silly Grandma.

Last year it was unicorns.

This past Christmas it was foxes.

Each year she likes something new.

So even if the pillowcase doesn't last long, it will be long enough.

She will be on to something else by next Christmas.

Anyhow, that is what I have been doing.

Working and hanging out. Trying to get my energy level back to where it was.

Covid wiped me out.

I hope you are doing well!
