This Week

Started off with the Princess being sick. It seemed like the week lasted a month. I forgot how hard it is to care for a sick child. She is doing better today. It seems all the kids are dropping like flies. It is a bad winter virus.

Cough, cough. Oh no. Hopefully I am not the next victim.

 

 

 

Tuesday night went to a concert. Sammy Kershaw, Pam Tillis and Colin Raye

 We got to sit in the front row.

 

 

It was so worth the wait.

Not counting the twenty years I waited to see Sammy in concert.(-:

I also got Pam Tillis to sign a cd(-; She was really nice.

 

Not sure how I can top that.

Sun here fo the weekend.  Maybe some gardening will workout.

Todays Sourdough Bake

Finally after a year I got one I like. I think I finally have it figured out. I was told after last bake to oil the Lame. I have been dipping in water. Ugh! So I oiled it. Ta Da...

Ignore the second loaf. I had a fight with it and it won.

It was to wet. I tried to form it and kept adding flour. It wouldn't rise after that.

So chicken food it is. But, that front loaf is something to be proud of.

I am.(-: 

So oiling Lame is a must. I also decided that letting it rise some before putting in fridge overnight is a better idea too. So I learned two things this bake. Baking is always a learning experience.

I wish my Dad was here to see it. He loved sourdough bread so much.

He would be proud too I know he would.



A little Bit of Sunshine

It was a good day for pictures so we grabbed the camera and went for a walk.

We always find some fun stuff to do(-:

The storms here were crazy. We had a big branch break of an oak tree. Other then that nothing else happened. Lucky for us. I am ready for sunny days.



Raining Today

Suppose to get a lot of flooding and rain here today. Everyone is on high alert.

Yesterday was fun with the snow.

Here is my snow person. It had already started raining by the time I got the critter made. All the snow is gone now.



We Have Snow

Amazing white snow has landed in the area.

Suppose to be raining cats and dogs later.



Are We Having Fun Yet?

Do we know the answer to that question even?

It is only the 4th of January. In Six months it will be July 4th! Isn't that hard to believe?

The time just flies by so fast it is hard to keep up. One day it is Monday the next it is Sunday. Here it is already the 4th of January. I have received several seed catalogs in the mail already and I am dreaming of Spring. Not to wish away more time, but wishing I could get outside and work.

It has been raining here and cold. I take Jack out for several walks a day and also when the Princess is here we walk in the rain too, but it is not the same as a nice sunny Spring day!

So I am dreaming of warm sunshine on my face.
