Springy Stuff

Not much is happening. Things are growing and the birds are raiding the feeders. We can hardly keep them filled. We have all kinds of birds visiting.
This is one.

Garden Growth

The plants are springing to life.

My Mom's clematis has taken off.
Yesterday I got the hedge pruned for the first time since last fall.
The yard looks barren. Soon it will be lush and green and full of blooms.

Like this❤

Fil is camera shy so he doesn't let me take his picture.
But here he is to prove me wrong this morning.

Clematis popping up.

Swift is just peeking through at me,
wondering if it is safe to come out of his winter hibernation yet.
Where's the rays?
Surf's up?
Got sunscreen?

Dregs of Winter

The bathroom.😂
Camellia's are blooming.
I can't wait till spring arrives!

Nothing looks that great but I did find a few things to take a picture of. It is cold here today.

And these. The Christmas cactus.
They have been outside all winter on the front porch.
They started blooming.
Temperatures have been around 30 degrees at times.

I use to bring them inside, but last year I left them out too and they were fine.
They are big and hard to find a spot in the house for them. They then drop leaves etc.
Outside they don't do that.

Time To Flush Your Worries Away

Hope you are all enjoying your remaining winter.
I have been working like crazy and trying to get the yard in ship shape as well.
It's a long process and usually takes a month or so.
This little gem was my daughters.

She remodeled her bathroom and asked if I wanted it. I said yes! LOL
It is a 1956 in mint condition. Pun intended.
Imagine having this in your bathroom. She had a bathtub too, but since I already had two old timers I decided not to take the tub. There was also a sink.
I am going to stop up the drain and add water. Hopefully I will get that done this week.
Update: I stopped up the drain with mortar and covered that with a large coral. It holds water up to the rim.

We are on a break this week from school. It is nice to have a week off to get caught up on things.
The days just seem to fly by lately. I am so busy. I guess working does that.
Oh well soon school will be out for summer and I will have a couple months off.
I hope you have a fabulous week!

update:
I am still changing things around on the toilet.
I had the old rusty metal sign that says the free.
Thought it was funny to have it on the toilet.
Free is always nice.😁
I had that huge cement shell and decided to plant some baby tears in it. Haven't done that yet, but that is the plan for now.
Update: I planted baby tears and some primroses. I will switch those out when they fade away later in the spring for some summer flowers.
I still don't know if I need a pump or not. The sink is to the right of the toilet and it already is running water. I guess a little pump might be fun to have spraying up at the mermaid. Then though I would have a wire going out on the back and you would see the pump in the water. So I guess for now it will stay without a fountain.
I'm sure I will change it around a dozen or more times before I figure it out.
I will post another picture if I do.
