Springy

 A few blooms to kick off the week.

I have been working to get things cleaned up and ready for spring.

8 more days of school then we are off for Easter vacation.

I might make it. (-:

The tulips bloomed a few weeks ago, but I forgot to post a picture.

Happy First Day of Spring!

I made sourdough. 

I bought a new bread scoring lame so had to try it out.

I like it a lot better. Bread tastes the same.

The new lame will take getting use to, but I am sure it won't take long.

Nothing much happening here. We did have a little rain which was needed. I wish it could be more, but I have heard there is a chance of rain next weekend.

Also opening day of little league started yesterday, but due to rain it was cancelled.

First game will be Tuesday.

I can't wait to see the Princess play.

It is a new sport for her. She was playing soccer.

New Angel Planter

 I saw this cute little planter and knew it would be perfect for my angel garden.

You may remember that Carmen was here. She started cracking and falling apart a couple of years ago so I knew I would eventually have to replace her. 

I think this angel planter is the perfect replacement. 

First before I could set her on the table I had to clean and sand it. Carmen left a ring on the old marble.  So I finished that and sealed it.  I am sharing that picture too.  

So now the table is ready for sitting at with a nice cup of coffee or tea.  I have the fountain cleaned but have not turned it on yet.  It is still technically winter.  🙂

Fountain Moved

 

You may remember this very old fountain I got last year. It needed some repairs and a new pump. I put it across from where it is now, but it started to lean.  So my husband poured concrete for a sturdy platform. Now it is nice and sturdy. He also bought some cement glue and filled in some cracks.  It worked great.

Last weekend I added some pansies and a clematis Vine in the back.

I am much happier with it now.

It is in the butterfly/ memorial garden.

Shingle Plant

 It sounds like a virus.😨

When I heard Walmart had these, I had to hurry down to get one.

They are rare and hard to find.

Sometimes Walmart gets interesting plants in.

I have had this for a few weeks and it is doing well considering it is a tropical.

I really like it and hope it keeps going.

Not sure what happens when it reaches the top, which it has.

Should I add another shingle?
