Momma and baby.

Soon they will be gone. Owlet is branching and getting ready for his next adventure.

Hopefully next year the owl couple will build another nest.

I will miss seeing them everyday.

Birds

 Owlet continues to grow.

 The wood duck in the box is about ready for her babies to hatch.

I am guessing any day now. We check on her everyday.

She will call them out one by one and off they will march to the creek down below our house.

Then we won't see her again until next year if we are lucky.

I will miss our visits.

She has a purple leg band my brother put on her so we will know it is her.

The downside to that is that if someone kills her they will call my brother to report it.

Banding is good for some reasons, but that is not one of my favorites.😢
