Sunday Selection

Grabbed a bunch of pictures while the sun was out. It was a really nice spring day.
We watched the Princess play soccer and then ran over to Tuesday Mornings to see what was new.
I found this awesome talavera pot. I wish they had two more. I could put them on the side baskets.

Super cool and it fit in the basket so well. Last week I found a narrower one but it was to long to fit.
The guy there said to check back next Thursday when they get everything unloaded from the truck.
I will.

Next we have a squirrel that was faded from the sun and weather. I repainted him. He is hanging in the star magnolia tree.
A couple washer pictures because I know you want to see it again.

And the water ponds. I have a lot of water things in the garden, because, well I like water.
It is always fun to play in and it sounds so nice when when the pumps are going.
Here are some of them.

Next up this poor old rabbit that sits on this table. He has had his ears broken off several times.
I just keep gluing them back on. He doesn't seem to mind at all.
And another bunny I found at Tuesday Morning.
Did you know I liked rabbits? Oh you did?
Yeah I guess it is not to hard to figure out.😁

Last, but certainly not least is the owl update.
No new little fluffs of white yet. Momma owl is sitting patiently.
The weather has been so extreme. I hope they all hatch.
I am waiting patiently too. Please hurry little owlets!

Until next month then...😊

This Weeks Sourdough Bread

It takes half a day to prepare and then it goes into the fridge to bake the following morning.

After several hours of stretching and folding, it is formed and left to rise for a bit.
Then the loaves go into the fridge for the morning bake.
Seems to be pretty foggy in that bag.
You can't see it, but there are two loaves.

Ready for oven

Fingers crossed it will be outstanding and tasty.

It tastes fine.😋

Oh Hail

Well here we are end of March and it is hailing like crazy.
So weird how weather does things.
Fun to watch though.
Not sure the owls are happy though.

I think it was suppose to be spring.
Maybe we will just go straight into summer?

New Rabbit

Took a trip to my favorite antique store on Monday.
Found this unique wall hanging.

Owl Update

I think they have hatched. In this picture there is a tiny fluffy white feather to the right of her.
Then in the next picture it is gone.
It takes 30-37 days to hatch so it would be over 30 days since I saw her sitting on her nest.
So maybe one has hatched or they are close to hatching.
White fluff could be Mom's feathers.
I am so excited.
Soon we will see the little white fluff balls.

Got Strep?

Well not the bacterial kind.😱😷

The plant Streptocarpus.

This one is Fleischle's Roulette

These plants are fairly easy to grow and they are so pretty.
As you can see below.

I love violets and I like the streptocarpus too.
I would like to get another color someday.

Sun Day

I love how this sun has a crooked smile. It was why I bought it.
Happy Sunday....or Sunny Day.

Broken Glass and Marbles

This is a great item at Michaels.
It is so shiny and pretty. It works perfect for my little fake stream.
Would not work to walk on, but I won't be walking here.

Of course the marbles are nice too.

The willow tree garden is blooming with tulips now.

Raining On Thursday

Once again the rain has returned. Yesterday it rained and it looks like today is in for some too.
I made bread yesterday and baked this morning.

When the weather is like this you never know what is going to happen with bread.
taste is most important and if this weeks tastes as good as last weeks then I have succeeded in my journey of sourdough bread making.
Last weeks looked like this.

Sometimes I want to give up on making this bread because it is always so different looking.
I can't seem to make a loaf the same each time, but as long as it tastes good then I guess that's o.k. right?😋

Today the Princess is coming over for a sleep over. I was hoping for good weather, but we might have to play in the rain.  She has her rubber boots so she is all set.
Hopefully we get lucky and are able to take a ride down to the creek.
I need some small rocks to put in my fake creek bed.
The creek has changed the lay of the land so much this year. Last week we took a trip down there and were so surprised how much it had changed. Where there use to be a beach it was now a huge drop off and lots of rocks. I am sure by now it has changed again. It is always fun to go explore the area.
Last time I found a plastic box with bullets.😲
You just never know what you might find down there.
And yes, we have always thought someday it may be a crime scene.
So far we haven't had that happen, although a few years ago there was a body that was found north of our property. The man drowned. Although no one knows why he went swimming in the winter.
I believe it was ruled an accident.
So there are a lot of strange things that go on at the creekside.

Happy First Day Of Spring Peeps!

From this little spring chick.
No I didn't make this one.
I found him at a local vintage marketplace.
I think he looks pretty cute with his little feather top knot.😁

At Last

It is finally here.
The last day of winter.
Can you believe it?
We made it!
So today what should I share?
Well the only things blooming of course.

Enjoy this last day of winter, because spring will come and go and then it will be the long hot days of summer! We will all be complaining about that shortly.

The new arbor is up. It needs some clean up work in that area.
I might get that done this week. Or maybe not. 😀

The Princess has a sleep over planned for Thursday. So not sure how much stuff I will get done before then.
Anyhow, The arbor looks nice and I am glad I ordered another one. Sad that the old one was crushed by the huge oak tree limb though. So weird it fell right on top of the arbor.
I am grateful it didn't fall on the house.😊
The clematis in one barrel is going crazy and the one I planted in the other barrel is not. That one is my moms that I transplanted to the barrel. It was growing until the limb fell so I hope it will spark up and take off shortly. It should it is a piece from a hardy Jackmanii that has been around for 50+ years.

Leaf-Be-Gone

Don't you wish there was a magic spray that would just make all leaves disappear?
Yeah, me too.
I finished the willow tree garden yesterday.
Rake didn't work had to remove by hand.
Looks a lot better and is ready for spring time flowers now.

Some more white daffodils blooming.

That's it for now.
Nothing is looking that great at this point. Growing but not flowering.
It is only the middle of March after all.
Stay tuned.

Trip To See The Lorikeets

We took the Princess to see the Lorikeets at our local wildlife center.
She enjoyed all the animals but the Lorikeets best.
They had a lot of animals to see and we spent a few hours seeing them all.
Then it was pizza and back home to our house to spend the afternoon.
We had a blast.
I miss having her.
She missed me too.
It was nice to just have time to spend together.
