Celebrating 250 years

I decided to buy red white and blue bottles for my bottle tree. I got them today and got them put on with help from my husband. He handed them to me while I was on the ladder placing them.

I am happy with how it turned out. Very festive. After all it has been 250 years! I remember the 200th anniversary.  It was a big deal here. I was 15 years old. Seems like yesterday. I have a picture with my Grandma and brother in front of a train that came through town for the celebration.

Do you have plans for the 4th?

We will go over to my daughters for dinner. She lives near the fireworks and we can see them from her front yard.

Just 6 days left of school! I am so ready to be done!

I hope you had a great Memorial Day and are enjoying your week!

Tree Day!

We had some tree work in the yard this week. It went well. We still have one huge dead pine tree to get removed, but they need a bigger lift.

The sun is going to be shining here now.

I have a big area to decide what to do with now.  There was a huge oak tree in front of the house and it was dying, so it had to be taken out.  So glad it's down. That was a huge worry.

Here are some pictures in no particular order.

We are supposed to be getting summer weather here this weekend and into next week.  I am still not caught up due to the fact I had the flu last week. Ugh! I did have a flu shot, but guess it was not working for that virus. Glad to be on the mend.  Hopefully I can get busy and finish my projects in the yard soon.

It is almost Friday! 20 days of school to go!

Have a great day!
