Star Magnolia

My Star Magnolia which I have had for 25+ years has decided to produce some seed pods.
They are quite pretty hanging on the tree for Fall.
They are all over the tree. Funny it decided to do that after all these years.

I've never seen these. Maybe it is a sign of our up coming winter or a product of the rainy one we had last year!
