A Glimpse of the Halloween Tree

I am not done with it yet.

I made the little jack o lanterns by carving out the faces and spraying them with black paint. I waited for that to dry then I sprayed with a flat clear coat and sprinkled cinnamon on them.

I used a drill to drill holes in the face parts then cut out with scissors. That worked the best for me.

I bought that little jack o lanterns on Oriental Trading . com

I am not sure what to add next. Maybe more little jack o lanterns or something else that is creepy.

Stay tuned!

Watermelon

This has been a great summer as far as watermelon goes. They are popping up left and right and they are so yummy.  One of these weighed 33 pounds. The other two were not weighed. I shared one with my daughter yesterday. They love watermelon as much as I do.  I told them to let me know when they run out and I will bring another one over. There are still 10 left in the garden!
We still have several weeks of summer weather left here.
I am looking forward to fall sometime though.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Another Week Has Zoomed By

It felt like a long week instead of a short week.

I was tired from not sleeping for two days.

Charlotte is adjusting to her new life.

Everyone is adjusting to her!

I went to see her the other day and take some pizza rolls for the family.

Tomorrow I am baking sourdough and will take some over for them as well.

I can't wait to see Charlotte!

I hope you are doing well and enjoying your weekend!

Charlotte Has Arrived!

I call her the Queen.

Queen Charlotte!

Her big sister will always be the Princess to me!

Mom, Big Brother and Big Sister aka the Princess!

I am sure you will be seeing many more pictures to come.
It was a wild weekend with the grands while Mom and Dad were at the hospital.
I am looking forward to some sleep!
Enjoy your week!!!!!

New Old Fountain

Happy Friday!

It is always a day to celebrate when it is Friday!

Especially when you work at school!

This fountain was on my front porch for 20 years.

I decided to move it to the angel garden. I painted it white.  It was in need of paint.

Easy fix and now it is set up and running.

I added some water hyacinth to the bowl.

Thinking of Fall

The summer is fast becoming the past.

We had extreme heat, 119 degrees, this summer, which was not good for my flowers.

Let's see what is still blooming shall we?

To be fair, it is still a jungle in my garden. Just not a tame jungle. Things are wild and crazy. That is due to the fact that it was to hot to work outside most of the time. So, I have some catching up to do when I have time. It is suppose to be cooler this coming week, so hopefully I can get out there.
The first week of school is behind us and we are now coasting through the last week's of August.
September and Fall are in our sight! You know what that means. Pumpkins and witches and ghosts!  AKA cooler weather!  So enjoy your last month of summer and hang in there, because cooler weather is just around the corner!

It's also baby Charlotte's count down to arrival. I am going to guess she will be early. Due date is not until September 28th. My daughter is having contractions and is feeling miserable. So I am going to guess August 30th. I think that would be a good day.  If not that day then maybe the 11th of September. It is fun guessing isn't it?
Anyhow,  I hope you are having a great weekend.
Enjoy!

Back 2 School

It is that time of year again.

It is just amazing to me that it it already that time.
My Granddaughter is in 5th grade and grandson is in Kindergarten.  The years have sure flown by.
Soon a new Granddaughter will arrive.
Everyone is very excited to meet her.
I'm looking forward to many more tea parties and fun on the garden beach.

70 days until Thanksgiving vacation. I know, we are counting down already. 🤣
Believe me,  it arrives faster every year. Every year I plan to have everything ready. I never do.
But, first we have Halloween and fall to plan for.  I put up a few things this past week.
I usually wait till September to get everything out.  This year I am not waiting to start adding things to the house.
I am looking for oak galls
They are big balls that hang on the oak tree branches. One year I made a halloween tree using them  It was really cool.
So this weekend I will be searching the property for some oak galls for some Halloween/Fall crafts.
I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend!
