Gold Miner Planter

A little water feature with a Gold Miner planter. The planter is filled with sedum and sempervivums. It use to spill water into the little tub that's in the ground but I decided to fill the miners cart with plants instead. Although after a few years as a planter, I am thinking of changing it back into a water fountain(-:

Homemade Peach Pie

Is there any other kind?
We have a Red Haven peach tree and it produces the best peaches! Tons of them infact. So I had to whip up a pie(-: I make everything from scratch so its extra tasty! This pie is on its way to my husbands office for everyone to enjoy(-:

Trash 2 Treasure

These mushrooms were created using old coconut shells. One I bought at a flea market and it was already cut in half. The other was a coconut my daughter used the insides to make a cake with. She was going to throw out the shell and I asked to keep it for a later project. (-:
I added a driftwood stick to hold them up.
I just sat the coconut shell on the stick. I did not glue. But you could use some glue to hold it in place I thought it might be fun to see them sway in the breeze.
I think they look pretty cool. Now I will be on the look out for more coconut shells(-:

Cactus Monday

Another Monday has rolled in and this week I have created a special "cool" bbq planter.(-: The cactus were already planted in the bbq but I added the "cool" part the other day. My husband brought me home a box of broken safety glass because he knew I could figure out something to do with it. I sure did. Check this out...

Doesn't it look like ice? I picked it up with my bare hands so really its not sharp and dangerous. I wouldn't walk on it but its ok for a planter(-:

Rock Mushrooms

I made these out of creek rocks. I glued a 3/4 inch copper cap onto each rock and then slipped it onto a piece of copper pipe that was stuck in the ground. I plan to make many more of these. They are so easy to make and fun to see poking around in the garden. I spent two mornings at the creek looking for perfect rocks to use on this project. I could spend a lot more time looking because there are so many to see.
I am trying to decide how to make a larger rock mushroom next. I found a great rock for one.
The copper will age to a nice patina in time and blend in with the landscape. The only expense for me was the copper caps. They cost around between 40 and 80 cents a piece but I love how it looks with the copper!
