I would say another day another dollar, but that would not be the case for this week. More like where is the beer?
Started out on Tuesday, the nursing home called. My Mom had fallen out of bed. They called for an x-ray to see if anything was broken. Nothing was, so back to bed she went. I went to see her on Wednesday. She seemed pretty down. Today the nursing home called. She had cut her arm on a wheelchair. They taped it up and put some sleeves on her so she wouldn't have that problem again. The nurse and I chatted for a bit. She agreed my Mom seems very depressed. There is medication for that problem so they will check into getting her some. We both agree that she is giving up the fight. I would have gave up long ago. No one knows why she is still on this planet.
To me it seems worthless in her condition. Oh well I guess if she gets some meds she might feel better. We will see how that plays out.
Happiness is having the day to spend with the Princess. So today was good for me.
She hates her picture taken or at least when I take it. I even tried to bribe her, but she said nope. She has a sense of humor way beyond a two and a half year old that's all I can say. She is my shining star. I love her beyond words. She loves being outside as much as I do. She likes all the pathways and I tell her I made them just for her. (-:
This is what the Princess and I created for her Mom and other Grandma.
I bought a cheapo plastic frame at Wal Mart. The type that has the little stand on it behind the picture frame so it can stand or hang up on a wall.
I took that part off the frame. I used scrapbook paper for the background. I glued the flower/pot to that. The Princess did really good making the hand print and flower petals. She likes crafting and painting! It was a fun time!
It started yesterday. They have left the nest. They are growing up and will soon be leaving the tree. As usual I will miss them. I look forward to seeing the owls return every year to nest here. It is so interesting how they choose to live here instead of somewhere more private. So glad they like us here and don't mind all the noise I make while I am outside mowing or working in the garden. I love them.
The Princess will be here today and will be excited to see them sitting out looking at her. They watch every move we make. They are so curious! So fun!
I saw this online. Going to make one for my daughter for Mothers Day from the Princess(-:
Progress is kinda at a stand still for my Mom. Maybe even declining. She seems to have a ton of health issues. The latest is her hands/arms are numb. Useless.
So that's where we are at now.
She has kidney failure which we figured was probably the case. We just hope she can get well enough to go home. She did not want to die in a nursing home. So that's the plan. Trying to get her strong enough to go home. Not sure it will happen, but that is the goal.
Between visits to see her and babysitting I am pretty busy. I am trying to keep caught up on the outside chores. I start something then I have to do something else, so it is difficult to keep it all done.
It will be o.k. I will be o.k. too. Life will go on and someday I will be the one laying in a bed dying. Until then I have to do whatever I can to enjoy the rest of my life(-: You should too! Life is to short to waste a single moment! Go outside and dig in the dirt!
