The Pumpkin Princess

I got the Princess a new outfit for Halloween. She loves Minnie and Mickey of course. The boots were to cute to pass up.(-: She had a fun day getting pumpkins out of the garden at my Dads. His girlfriend still has a small veggie garden and grew some pumpkins for the special day.

And yes I am now in the spirit of the season. We will go to the Princesses house for the big event. It will be fun to see all the little ones trick or treating!
Last but not least by any means is this old shopping cart someone gave me. It is rusty but not rusty enough for me just yet so I leave it out behind the shed. I pulled it out and thought it would make a nice picture with The Pumpkin Princess!
Happy Halloween!!!!

Hoping For Rain

As you can see all around us is dry, dead and in need of some wet stuff. The cows will be coming soon. I hope we get some rain so they will have grass to eat. We are heading into November and it still feels like July.

Boat Garden

Last week I got the fishing net put on the boat. I ordered another one for the back of the boat. It should be here in a few days. I like how that looks.
The chairs need a new coat of paint but other then that this area is pretty well finished.

The inside again. I really like how that turned out. The inside is so primitive and peely-paint looking. The wood is worn by years of water and wear. It is so rustic and I love it so much that way! I could never create something so perfect.

Looking Inside The Boat

There are two cupboard storage type things inside the "cabin" of the boat.
They have an open down door on the top. Neither side works well. I screwed the one side closed because it was falling apart. That one I sat a spider plant on and the other side I decorated with shells etc. I hung the anchor mosaic above that little cupboard. This is what it looks like. I left everything old and chippy painted like it was when I got it. That is the idea. This is suppose to be a shipwreck.

Mosaic Anchor

I bought a wood anchor and mosaicked the mirrors on. Painted the wood turquoise color. The sun was not shining so the mirrors look flat but in the sunlight it really sparkles(-:
The lifeguard sign I got on Amazon.

More Work On Boat Garden

Don't mind the cockeyed pots. I know some people will go nuts with that one. I am one of those people(-:  I just threw those plants in there to see what it would look like(-:

I have more tweaking to do with the creek bed, but I like it for the most part.
Now for the bridge to be built. The bridge builder and I are having a go around with the design. I have my idea he has his. But you all know I will win in the end. (-: I want a bigger version then he wants. I think I have convinced him though, the bigger one would look better(-:

I need to get another yard of sand. I thought I was done. Ha Ha! I may never be done with the sand part either. I also need more small rocks to put around the ponds. I am having fun playing in the sand though. I can almost believe I am at the beach! In a ship wreck..
on a deserted island(-:

Oh and we had rain yesterday! Just a light sprinkle, but it was so nice. My faithful helper Captain Jack ran inside the house though. He hates getting wet. )-:

I am happy Fall is here, but I am also sad that Summer is over. I won't be able to work outside much longer. That is if El Nino actually does arrive.
I guess I can sit in my chair and pretend we are having a hurricane at the beach (-:
It should be an interesting Winter.
The hatches will have to be batten down for sure.

I know I need more shells. I have to work on that(-:

Oh well....Here is the newest picture! Enjoy your Friday.
