Sparkley New Mirror

I finished the mirror yesterday and when my DH came home he helped me hang it up. It is pretty heavy. Its 36" around. I thought the green reflection of the garden was cool this morning. Hope you enjoy it. I have to take more pictures when I get a free minute, to share.

It is finally, after many long dry months, raining!
I can't remember the last time it rained. Last Spring sometime I guess.
I woke up in the night to the ting, ting, ting of the rain gutter sound. Oh how I missed that sound! I love the rain!
So far, 1.64 inches of rain has been recorded at the local airport.
We are suppose to have showers today and it is still raining right now.
Hopefully we will be get a lot more! We need feet of rain instead of inches but I will take whatever we can get!
Of course I had to share the picture I took yesterday of the turkey in the bird feeder. He decided to jump up for a snack. I guess he is above eating on the ground with the rest of the "Turkeys!"

Floatin' On Air

Is how I felt when My "Junkin" brother gave me this totally awesome float to hang in my garden. It was thrown away and he got it for me.(-: I might add that these floats are very hard to come by, so whomever threw it away lost a chunk of change! So glad they did though! It is about two feet long. It weighs probably 10 pounds or so. Mainly its more of a unique find for my garden! I love old junky rusty stuff and for me this is a treasure!

I hung it above my sink fountain. It now resides next to the mermaid and the seahorse. It is all looking so nice in that little area.

I ordered this little critter to poke in the plant below the sink. He should feel right at home when he arrives.(-:

The fish planter is doing real well too.  Thought I would share a photo of it.

Warm September Days

End of the Summer photos. I had to replant the table and chairs so I re did the whole thing. I bought those wire planters with the coir things already in them. Maybe have better luck this time instead of chicken wire. I have a problem with the squirrels digging in them, but I think I have it fixed much better this time.

The fountain garden is doing really well. I added some moss there as well. Hope that helps keep the area from drying out so much.

If I had to say what was the best bloomer in the garden this year it would be the supertunias. I will have to get pictures of them. Next year I think I need to get more. They seem to bloom forever. Nothing eats them and no one digs in the planters.
Jack needs to sit outside there and protect all the stuff from the squirrels I guess. I am sure he would enjoy that job.(-:

Vintage Gardeners

I found these kids on Craigslist.(-: Everyone thinks they are creepy but I think they look perfect in my garden(-: The person I got them from said they were her Mothers and she had them for years. I think they will be happy in their new forever home.(-:

Dumped Family

Someone dumped two kittens and their Mom on the road yesterday. I was passing by and had to turn around and go pick them up. I can't stand to see things like this happen. The kittens were nursing and the Mom cat, who we have named Fiona. They were laying in the road. Someone would have ran them over. There was no water or food anywhere left behind for them either. How can people do this? )-: It makes me so mad. So of course they are here in the garden safe from danger. Hopefully they will find a home, but if not I will keep Fiona and the kittens who are both males. My other two stray cats don't seem to mind them being here so that is nice. I guess they all understand the life of a homeless cat who gets rescued.(-:  I am keeping them inside at night until they are bigger. They seem to be pretty use to being inside cats. They do however enjoy being outside too.

Found a home for the striped kitten. He has a nice home and  lots of love. Now just need one more home for the black and white kitten. Hopefully soon(-:

Update#2 A home was found for the black and white kitty. Yay they are both in good homes with lots of love and attention(-: Of course Fiona is having a heart attack but I am sure she will get over it and then I will take her to get spayed.(-:

Update#3 Black and White Kitty came back. Person who took him was not able to keep a male cat at the place they lived. So Black and White Kitty looking for new home again )-:

Update#4 Well looks like Black and White Kitty is going to be staying with us. We have named him. His name is Filipe. Fiona is happy that we are keeping her son.(-:
