Welcome to Fertilizer Friday!
Thanks for dropping by!
Here is what is blooming in my garden this week!
First up...a brand new grouping that requires no care but will bloom all Summer. Made from some old heart shaped cake pans that belonged to my Grandmother. They had some rust on them and I decided to make them useful since they were no longer useful for baking cakes. I painted the sign to go with them. I thought it made the whole thing quite charming. I stuck them into a bucket of red geraniums for now. I will find a more permanent place for them later.
This is a new daylily from the All American Daylilies collection called,"Frankly Scarlet." I thought it was a beautiful red and had to have it to add to my daylily collection.
The Crocosemia are blooming like crazy. Love that bright orange!
Last but not least is another new group of cake pan flowers I put together today.
I found these cake pans or jello molds or whatever you want to call them at the flea market for 50 cents each. I really like the ruffled edges.
Thats it for me. I am joining late due to the fact I was still working on my projects till just a bit ago and didn't have pictures yet.

My son and I went to a plant sale today at "Simply Plants." It so happens that Yvette, the owner of this lovely business has a daughter who is a friend of my sons.(-: That is how I found out about this business in the first place.
This was my second visit to "Simply Plants." We had a great time visiting Yvette! Thanks for inviting us! We will come back again soon(-:
So...on with the show...Check out what I bought today...
Up first I found this cool Scabiosa. When I got home I noticed the tag was missing so I can't tell you which one it is, but it looks a lot like
Ace of Spades. So until I find out, I will just go with that name.(-:
Next is a plant or should I say bulb I have wanted for a long time. Now hopefully I can keep it going for years to come. This is an Allium Drumstick. Can't wait to see it when it opens(-:
I found this picture on pinterest. I thought they looked a lot like Alliums. Looks like they are made out of chicken wire. I would love to make some of these. I might have to try working on some.(-:
This plant speaks for itself but of course you may not know the name. Which I do so let me share. It is a Echinacea "Hot Summer." I love these plants.(-:
I also got a Chocolate Ball Sedum but I didn't get a close up of it. I will try to do that tomorrow.(-:
Here are some daylily blooms from my garden today. Once again I don't know the names of these but they are pretty so that is really all that matters to me.(-: Names are just words anyhow. I will call these beautiful.(-:

I had this old smudge pot and decided to add some sparkle to it. I had left over tiles from the frog ball so I glued them on and grouted it and this is the finished product. I sat it on my sink fountain.
A few flowers blooming today...
And last but not least...Smiley Pies...

I think it looks like a skull. I hope you can see that too. I just noticed this rock on my walk this morning and brought it home to display in my garden.(-: I love walking with the dogs in the morning because I always find something interesting.(-:
I have walked by that same rock everyday for years and have not seen it before. Weird how one day it just happens to catch my attention. The light must have been just right!
For those of you who are following my Smiley Pie Pictures...I have some more to share tomorrow.(-:
Have a nice day!

Why they see this of course...
Jack was very good and did not go near the skunk. Gus was on a leash so he couldn't go but they were both very interested in watching it skuttle away.
No stinky dogs left behind.(-:
We finished our walk without seeing any other wildlife.

You are in for a "tReAt" today!
I found 3 "pies" to share with you.(-: Inedible unless you are a dog, but funny just the same. You just need a little imagination and you can see "faces" in each "pie."
Hope you all have a great Wednesday!(-:
This one is my favorite one. Love the "eyes" that look like a jack-o-lantern.

My daughter Jenna re-painted this "pillow" purple and white for me. A big Thank You to you Jenna!!!! I made the little white flower with cut out pieces of mosaic tile. I used GEII glue to glue it to the pillow.
I bought this "rock" several years ago and it was a stone grey color. I never really liked it as a rock so now it is repurposed for a "bed pillow" for my garden bed.
I am taking apart the childrens garden where this rock was, and moving things around the yard. I like having the "children" placed around the yard instead of all in one place. I guess I need to take a picture of the "kids" sometime so you can see what I did with them. One of them is now holding an old antique childs watering can. The other two from the "jumprope group" are on the bed with the new pillow. One is "jumping" and one is sitting holding a lampshade flower. It is all fun and games here in my garden. You never know what might be happening at any given time.(-:

Here is what is happening today.
A hungry Wood Pecker at the hummingbird feeder.
Old Purse with succulents
My new oak leaf hydrangea
I painted my mushrooms.
I also painted the legs. I used a roofing rubber spray paint to give the legs the look of wearing a wetsuit. Blue toenails completed the look I was trying to achieve this year.
I painted my buoys. I like them much better.
