More Cow Pie Fun

Happy Monday Everyone...I thought I would share a new cow pie face today. To kick off the work week. As we all know work is the..._______. (fill in the blank)
To me this cow pie face looks sleepy but happy. What do you think? As I walk the dogs now, I am checking all the cow pies for faces. I might just have a whole collection of cow pie pictures someday.(-: I never noticed that some had faces before. Believe me I would stop and smell the roses if there were any where I walk...but since there are none I am stuck with cow pies.(-: Have a great week!

Baby Fan Flower

This is it all finished. The weather has not been cooperating this week, so I have not been able to get a good picture. The mirrors sparkle so much better in the sun. This is what I got yesterday. Hope you like the new addition to the garden.

You might remember Mom and Pop fan flower

Most of my Iris came from my Great Aunt. So I can think of her when I see them bloom! She passed away last December.

Dogwood is in full bloom!

Betty Boop Rose

Calycanthus was also a plant from my Great Aunt.

The Streptocarpus just opened its bloom today. My purple one has not opened yet.

Mom and Pop Fanflower have a new addition to their family...Baby Fanflower. I am going to add a mirror mosaic to the fan sometime today or tomorrow. I finished it last night.

This was used as a grain storage container. It had very tall legs which were cut off to fit in my garden. Now it's a planter(-: I had the sunface but it was painted a rust color, which I hated so I got out the cordless drill and wire brush attachment and went to work. I like it so much better now(-: The rusty sunflowers were fixed up with new welded leaves (thanks to DH) and poked in the top. Also worked on more lampshade flowers (also thanks to DH) this weekend too. I am sure you are getting sick of pictures of them so I will wait on those till later(-:

Owls

Found the return to normal button for blogger...lol(-: I know I am so set in my ways I hate changes...I am happy there was a return to normal button(-:
I took these photos yesterday of the owls. These owls you might remember were last years owlets. They are pretty friendly as far as letting me still get close enough for a picture.(-: Sometimes they hide and I can't see them but most of the time they are sitting on the branch of a huge digger pine tree.(-:

Sad Cow Pie

Saw this on my walk today. Thought it was worth taking a picture of. (-: I don't recall ever seeing a cow pie with a sad face before. I wonder what it means? Usually on my walks I look for heart shaped rocks. Today this is what I found. I did see my owl friends again too. I will post some pictures of them tomorrow.(-:

Hating the blogger new posting set up but trying to get use to it...(-:

These are the creatures that break the fence and try to destroy my yard whenever they can. Ugh)-: I loath them...(-: They have many acres of grass to munch on but they want to come in my yard and eat my grass and flowers/plants whatever they can get their mouth around. Then they leave cow pies scattered through the yard for me. It is a tad bit unnerving to say the least.

Owls

This picture was taken Sunday. I know where they are most of the time. I go see them when I get a chance. Of course they are bored with me dropping by and waking them up. These are the owlets from last Spring. They are all grown up now and living on their own. They picked a huge digger pine to roost on. I still have not seen their parents anywhere. Hopefully they are doing well and have a new nest.

New Rain Gage

My daughter got it for me from Plow and Hearth. It is so cute. It rained a lot last week. Since I got the rain gage on Tuesday it rained a little over 2 inches here. It was very nice. All my plants are growing like crazy! Of course the weeds enjoyed it also.(-:
I am sad to report my duck has flown the coup. She was frightened yesterday and flew out somehow. I do have bird netting over her pen but she got out anyhow. So...I looked and looked for her at the ponds nearby the house but she was no where to be found. I hope she comes home. I worried all night about her. We have had her for 6 years. She has flown off a few times and I have always managed to find her. Sometimes weeks later. So I won't give up hope of ever seeing her again. It is just really sad for me since she is a dear pet/friend. She was a house duck for the most part. She was house trained and would sit on a towel while inside. (-: She loved to hang out with people so it is kinda weird she would leave...but it is Spring and maybe she decided after all these years she wants to be a Mommy? I hope she stays safe and returns to us again!

Meet Chrystal...(-:
I found her "body" a glass toilet float, on ebay and had to make one more fish to add to my school(-:
Her fins are made out of a clear poly binder and her eyes are copper washers and the stem is copper tubing.
You may remember a previous post about the "fish" Click here
And here is the fish I added later made out of a common black toilet float.Molly

OMG I found this beautiful lady at the Spring Roses and Rust Vintage Market.
I fell instantly in love with her of course.(-:
I paid 48.00 for her, which I thought was a total steal! I couldn't wait to get her home and "fixed up." I added that nice hair~do to her head.(-:

Of course I did a little looking online for some history of her Click Here. She also had a "man" and the pair sold for 1250.00!!! They are from 1960.
I know you are all thinking well why would you put that outside? But some of you may remember that I have wanted a "garden head planter" for~everrrrrrrrr! I finally have my beautiful lady and I am going to display her in the garden as soon as weather permits(-: I will put her on my patio table under the patio umbrella to protect her from the harse rays of the sun. That way I will also be able to see her through the windows whenever I look outside(-:

I also found an old industrial light that I will make a new lampshade flower out of. I can't wait to do that too! Over all it was a very successful weekend!(-:
