My granddog alerted to this snake while we were outside this afternoon. Lucky thing he was on his leash. Jack was not. I had to calmly call him over to me and get them out of the area before I could go back and get the snake. Jack would want to shake it. Lucky for me it all worked out.

Glad no one was hurt in the killing of this snake, well, except the snake. It looks like a pretty big one too!

I hope this is the LAST one you see for a very long time. Sheesh.

Yuck! You are brave to take care of it yourself. We took our dog to a rattlesnake class to teach her to not go after them. The class seemed to be successful, but she has, fortunately, not been tested since then. I hope you don't get too many more.

It's that time of year, yuck. None around here, knocks on wood, yet. A friend has had three in her yard, and one bitten dog. $2,000 for his little vet visit...

Yeah the one part about Summer I don't like. The snakes. I worry for Jack because he wants to kill them. So I guess he will have to walk on a leash now. He hates that!

Oh my, that is a big one. My DH use to see them all the time in his line of work. He has brought some home. EEEEK. Had one stuffed, had a riot with that one.
Glad no one was hurt.

Uug, snakes, absolutely hate them.

I will leave the King and black runners alone, but anything else is usually killed.

Eek!

My dad and I saw one on a trip to Honeymoon Island dog beach and it was huge! He wanted me to run it over but I was afraid it would somehow get into the car, lol.
