New Bottle Tree

The old tree finally rotted and had to be replaced. This is a lodge pole that I bought. It is treated and hopefully will last a few years. I washed the bottles and drilled new holes for the rebar posts.

OMG, I want one so bad! I've been saving blue vodka bottles, now I need hubby (not so handy) to get a post sunk and drill some holes. Yours is beautiful, nothing is prettier than cobalt blue!

Another great project! Cinde, I so enjoy following your blog. I would love for you to stop by my blog and I invite you to follow me also. I have a Boardwalk Bragfest every Wednesday. I think you knew bottle tree would go over beautifully.

Fun crafts, good job.

I understand about never wanting to leave home. My jaunt yesterday will last me for months. The dog has to go to the vet today, another trip I could do without.

i really wanted an old cedar tree cut out of my front yard to make mine, but i'm settling for a 4x4 post, lol!

the round pole is working out great, and looks good wearing a bird house bonnet!

Me thinks that Cindee and DH like German Riesling Relax wine, which comes is a wonderful blue bottle.
Someday, I too will have my bottle tree, and because I first saw one here at Cindees' Garden.

Hi Nola, Jan, Meadowview Thymes, Brighid, Nell Jean, Japanese Redneck, Hocking Hills Gardener,Kudzu,Brenda, Rick and Peonies and Magnolias
I am lumping my reply altogether cuz I am lazy and wanted to answer as fast as I could so I can get outside and work on my new project!!!!!
I actually have two vodka bottles on there too(-: I cheated to start with though and ordered my bottles online. It wasn't that much about 1dollar a bottle. I felt it was well worth it. I was given some bottles too and it worked out pretty well for a tree(-: Over the years the wind has blown some off and some just fell. So I have probably lost about a dozen or two.
The bottle tree is something I really enjoy in my garden. It is so cheerful and I ge so many comments on it. I can't imagine not having one! I was worried about it when the old one rotted. But my Husband assured me we would get a new pole and "re grow" it(-:
It worked for me!!! Iam glad you all enjoyed it too!!! Well I am off to work on my new project. Its almost done!!!! I know you are all dying to know what it is...(-:
Todday is the first sunny day here all week so I am going to enjoy a few rays!!! Have a great after noon!!!!!!

Geez Cindee, Thanks for the bottle tree idea! I was at a brunch before the rodeo yesterday and happened near a trash container. Just a glint of blue caught my eye, so I reached in and pulled out a big blue vodka bottle. The hostess was fine with it when I told her what it was for, but the rest of the crowd not so much. Now they all think I'm a secret dumpster diver...
