Just A Glimpse

Yellow Daffodils.
Growing strong,
A whispering breeze,
A sweet Spring song,

Chattering too,

Is it finally gone?
The Winter blues?
I see the signs,
All through the yard,
Life peeking up,
From soil once hard,
The sky is blue,
The trees have buds,
Is it time to remember,
Once was?
Hold on,
Whats that I see?
Upon the mountains,
To the West,

To the East,

Don't pack away,
Your Winter gear,
It has not left us,
I fear.

Hi Cindee~~ Teaser weather I call it. Usually the week BEFORE spring break is teaser weather week. But I've been through enough of them to not be fooled any longer.

Just today, I pulled back a bunch of leaves to reveal green bulb growth. It is happening.

Cindee you VERY naughty girl you !
We had very early teaser weather where I did see green lawn and campanula leaves .. then the snow started again and the logic side of my brain said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME ??" haha
I'm sick with the cold from hell so the logic side of my brain packed up and left anyways .. haha
PS .. love seeing the chickens : )

Hi Grace Peterson,
I love when I find some green growth. I saw where a squirrel had replanted some Tulip bulbs for me today(-: I guess he was not happy with where they were before.(-:

Hi GardenJoy4Me,
Sorry about your cold! I hope you feel better soon! Thats no fun!
The weather would help a lot if it were nice and sunny outside(-:

The mountains look beautiful!
I don't think winter is over yet. We are due a freeze over the weekend, but I think we will miss the ice. My daffs are really starting to show--but not the tulips. I am not giving up, but I would have thought they would be appearing by now.

Great Golly love your latest poem and the pics. The tulips are coming up in the front border, and the daffs down by the creek. Will have to put Max on guard duty or the deer will get them. Have a great weekend.
