Getting old,
Just like me.

Starless nights,
Endless dark,
While Spring sleeps.

Just like me.

This is a lovely post on fog, Cindy, and a perfect photo. We get lots of fog too, but living on the coast, we expect it. In winter, it's just bizarre, though.

Hi Jody,
It has been foggy here for a while now. Normally we have fog in December for a week or two.

Hi Cindee,

What a beautiful photograph and poem! Fog creates such mystery and beauty, though a danger for those traveling in it. Lovely post.

Hi Carol,
It is a dangerous thing to drive in!

Hi Cindee~~ Fog is about as common as rain in these parts. Yesterday afternoon it descended and grew really thick. Photos taken of the fog are always so mysterious and, as you said, icy cold. I take you suffered no damage from the quake.

Hi Grace,
No damage here from the quake. I didn't even feel it but my son said he did. He was sitting at his computer at the time though and we were out shopping at the time. I have felt them here before though!

You've got it, girl. This is a lovely post. I enjoy foggy days ... occasionally. I'm glad to have bright sunshine today, though.

Good job.

You and me both! Except we have no fog. What an eerie photo. Might save that one for Halloween scariness.

Love your new header with little buggies flying around. ;-)
Great fog picture. I've been taking some lately too with fog patches.

Actually, that is beautiful fog! And I loved the poem. I spend all winter "waiting!"

Hi Cindee,
Doesn't the mist make everything (especially trees) look magical?

Except for driving in it, I love fog. So mysterious and facinating.

I am new to the Redding area...Shingletown to be exact and was wondering if the fog was common occurance. We are getting our new garden the planning stages now.

Hi Ferne,
Well the fog hits every year around this time or earlier. It doesn't stay that long though. You get a lot more of the cold, snowy, foggy weather up there in Shingletown.
Have fun with your garden!!(-:
