Afternoon Stroll 1-26-10

Took the dogs for a walk this afternoon as the sun was going down. It was very pretty especially since we had a break in the weather! Good old sunshine for a change!!!(-: The dogs were happy! Jack managed to catch two mice. A double homicide for him. I may need to change his name to Dexter(-:
He was to tired to comment, but he wanted me to tell you he enjoyed his walk!

Hi Queen in Training Cindee. I hope you are sleeping well on the train. You have been a quiet Queen but I know you are following along and doing your lessons...smile! Tomorrow we will arrive in the Enchanted Harbor. I see you fast asleep on the train with a blue bird sitting in your tea cup! Your poetry is fit for a QUEEN!

Hi Jaqueline,
Thanks(-: I now feel like a Queen. I wonder if the family will agree to treat me like royalty?(-: Jack might(-:

Hi GardenJoy4Me,
It is pretty here. We have mountains West,North,East. They are so pretty in the winter. I forgot my camera yesterday on the way to work or I could have gotten the best picture! I am taking it today for sure(-: I hope its sunny outside! Still dark here so can't tell.
Jack says...Hey, this is my first time out on a long walk since it started raining! I am having a great time!!!(-: O.K. so the mice didn't have as much fun! Wasn't their day I guess!
Tell the felines this is how its done! No playin' around!
It's over before those little feet leave the ground!
I think I caught my Moms illness of rhyme. Yikes! I better go now and rest up for todays walk!
Talk to ya later!

Do you make him use mouthwash so you don't get mousey kisses?

A german shephard I use to have loved to hunt mice and rats.

Can you send Jack to my house for a visit? I have some pesky moles and voles for him to meet. I would also like for Jack to teach something to OJ kitty and Zip the Rat terrier next door. They come to visit us but not helping us much in the rodent department. Jack might teach them a thing or two….

I cannot believe they changed the flavors of the Valentine hearts! That is one tradition that should never be messed with! Adding new flavors is one thing but taking old ones away! How dare they....

Beautiful pictures - is that Mt. Shasta peeking through the clouds? I say that because it's the only one I know the name of down your way. LOL
Ewwwwwwww to Jack. But I'd love to have him here catching them.

Hi Japanese Redneck,
LOL I didn't think of mouthwash. He needs some for sure!

Hi Skeeter,
Jack luvssssssss to catch moles and gophers! Its one of his favorite past times when there is no mice(-: How old is Zip? I wonder why he isn't after those critters?
Jack would teach the cat but it wouldn't look good afterwards...(-:

I am so sad about the candy. Someone did post about Dollar Store and they did have the old kind there!(-:

Hi RainGardener,
That is Mt. Lassen through the clouds(-: I got another picture today. It is so pretty! It hasn't had that much snow on it for a few years so it looks really nice!
Jacks the best ratter/mouser I ever had! He beats the cats 100 times over!

Jack...you look so fierce, and I know you are just a sweet little thing!
Even mousing, Jack is still the cutest thing in the world!

Zip is 4 and half years old. When he comes into our yard, he is more interested in going to our woods to bark and sniff where the deer have been roaming...

OJ does catch the varmints but not as many as I wish he would. He should spent more time on the voles and less under the bird feeders….

Hi Meadowview Thymes,
Jack thinks he is a big tough guy...LOL But we all know different.(-:

Hi Skeeter,
4 years isn't to old! But if deer were around I can see the distraction!!! LOL Jack gets distracted easily too!
As for the cats here if they can just catch a bird its so much easier! Lay and wait under the bird feeder. Thats their attitude too! OJ sounds like my cats. They might catch a mouse but it would have to walk next to them as they were laying down by the bird feeder.(-:

It looks like life is beginning to pop. Just seeing the sun again has been amazing. I am bringing new succulents home from our trip and am hoping for some continued sun. Love your views and you take great pics.
