Yay...are you all ready for NYE? I am staying home playing on the computer and watching t.v.(-: What are you doing?

By now, if you are following along, you probably have figured out that I am making snowman heads(-: These will be primitive...grubby and not perfect, but cute in their own special way(-:
This is taking foreverrrrrrrrr because they are drying so slow. I sat the snowman heads in front of the woodstove to dry. Hopefully, that works!!!
So far this morning I have sanded the hats and noses twice, painted the noses and antiqued them. They are done and ready to be glued on the heads.
The hats are not totally dry yet and have to wait to be painted till later. I will paint them and antique them too, then glue the hats on the heads(-:
It is fun to do but my hands are about finished from that fine sanding(-:
I can't wait to get them all put together(-:

A new violet is blooming. I have several violets blooming but this is a new one(-:

He arrived Saturday but I forgot to check my mail!!! Needless to say he spent his first night in a cold dark place!!! He was very happy to be released from his box and put on display in his new home! See that smile on his face?

Its off to school with this gift today! No changing again!

I am making this gift for work. It is the Secret Santa gift exchange. The theme this week is something inspirational or something like that. I thought this was a good idea. I have more work to do on it and will share pictures when finished(-:
I got the letters painted on the pot this morning and antiqued/sanded the whole thing. I plan to add a bow of some sort and some brown shredded paper for the "dirt"
I have a pitch fork and shovel and a small wreath I could also add to the bow if I use raffia. I will have to think about that today(-:
There are 30 little messages tucked into envelopes to be opened each day of the month. The "Seeds For Thought" will sit in the pot along with some mini Three Musketeers bars. That is my persons favorite candy. Can't wait to get it all done. Hopefully today when I get home from work, I can't finish it up!
