Stupid Meat Bees

Hi it's me Jack again.
I am feeling under the weather as you can see by my sad face. I have perfected the look for my Mom and Dad so they will feel real sorry for me and give me extra attention. I don't get enough as it is you know!
Anyhow, this morning a nasty meat bee decided it would take a bite out of my right paw. I am holding it up for you all to see in the picture my Dad took.
It was feeling very bad for a few hours after it happened and required constant attention and rubs on the fur! I think I will survive but I am not going to mess with those meat bees again! They are mean and hateful.
Well, I wanted to let my fans know the hardships a Rat Terrier has to endure. I must go and lay down now. I think I need another treat and a nice massage.

I feel much better tonight! I guess I get some ice cream in a few mins too. That will be nice.

Hi My Little Family,
I do have many pitiful faces. It works so well on getting my way!
I do feel like an Oscar would be good. I had to do so much suffering today!

Hi Meadowview Thymes,
I have been laying in bed all day with the covers pulled up over me. My Mom seemed real concerned and has offered ice cream to me for dessert tonight! Of course I will eat some. I feel much better after all(-:

Awww, poor little guy. I'm going to have to google meat bees because I don't know what they are! But I don't want my doggie finding out either. Sounds painful.

Hi Tootsie,
Tell Pooh that I feel her pain!

Hi Brighid,
Oh that must have hurt bad! I hate cows. I chase them whenever I see them around. My Mom hates them in the yard. I do love the stuff that comes out the back end though. It is great stuff! Especially when its all over my fur!!! Yee haw!!!

Hi Joy,
Tell the girls thanks! I would give them a break from chasing them if I was there!(-: Whoof!

Hi Raggedy Angel,
Oh no you got my number! Don't tell Mom she still feels sorry for me. (-: Maybe if I limp a little longer I can have some more ice cream!!!(-:

Hi Kathleen,
I think Mom said those meat bees are yellow jackets. Whatever you call them they are mean and it hurts to get bit by one!

Hi This Eclectic Life,
Mom says,
A meat bee is a Yellow Jacket. The unwanted guest at a picnic! Some live in the ground and others live in items like bird houses etc. They are mean and will take a bite out of your "fur."
Its no fun. I never want to see another one!

Hi The Japanese Redneck,
I will never look at another meat bee as long as I live. They do not play fair!!!(-:

Hi Peonies and Magnolias,
Thank You for your well wishes!

LOL That's my Pookey. Sad face and all. Little miss limp plays it for all it's worth. She knows it and so do we :)

Poor Jack is going to need lifetime acute care now.

JacK, Max again. The boss lady says a good meat bee trap can be made by putting a small piece of meat in one of those disposable fly traps. The pesky hornets fly in and can't get out. Besure they hang it away from the house.

Hi Wise Acre,
Dogs know how to get the royal treatment and make it work to their full advantage(-:

Hi Amur and Tatyana,
No, really I was not trying to catch it(-: I do however hate all flying insects!

Hi Max and Bridget,
Did you say meat?
This could be a good idea!!! I would eat the piece of meat and then chase the bees away!(-: Yeah that would be a good treat for me(-: I will tell my Mom to get the meat out right away(-: I love all meat...yummy!!! Thanks for the great idea(-:

Poor baby! He really knows how to ham it up for the camera, doesn't he? I hope he's better today.

Can I ask what a meat bee is? Never heard of it. We recently discovered a bumble bee nest in the ground right by our patio! We are going to leave it alone for now. The bumble bees are so happy to polinate everything that I hate to intervene. :)

Hello Jack, you truly have my sympathy about getting stung by that yellowjacket (as we know them around here). I was stung just once on my finger and I will never forget how long it kept hurting, and hurting. I'm on your side. It does hurt! You are a brave boy!

CiNdEe said...

Hi Stacy,
Yes Jack is a real actor(-:
The meat bee is a yellow jacket. They swarm meat...dead animals/snakes etc. They are a nasty pest.

Hi Barbee,
I am all better now! Back to normal(-: Mom says what does that mean?(-:
Sorry about your finger! My Mom got bit by a couple one year and was almost in the hospital ICU. It got infected from whatever the meat bee was eating. It turned into cellulitis. It was very bad. That is why they were so worried about me(-: Of course I had to let them worry more then they should have(-: Thats what dogs do best(-:

He does look very pitiful. I'm glad he's better. I saw some kind of bee today that I'd never seen before. It was huge. I've got to google it and find out if it's good or bad.
