A Nest a Squirrel and Some Blooms

Very interesting nest design. Amazing a bird was able to think of this(-: They tied the nest to another tree branch to hold it secure. You can see the twine they used in the picture below and better in the next picture.

See how they pulled that nest up? Isn't that just amazing?

Here is a squirrel cooling off on the tree limb!

I can't believe my hollyhock died before it ever bloomed. So sad. Yes, those rascals are mighty smart.

How amazing are those birds for making their nest stable. :) Your Hollyhock blooms are very pretty. I forgot to sow my seed for mine, maybe this fall.

Really?, my goodness that is just so unique. And some people say--it's just a bird. Looks to me like they thought it out. And I agree with Skeeter, those birds had a lot to live up to building in your garden.

That double hollyhock is very pretty. It looks like chiffon.

Hi Skeeter,
Animals are very interesting in how they build their nests. This one was very creative and there is another one in the yard that the bird worked on to tie up for hours. It was amazing to watch!

Hi Tootsie,

Hi Brenda,
I am sorry your hollyhock died! They do bloom the second year! Mine did so well this year because of the fertilizing!
