Arapahoe Blooms

I woke up this morning to see Arapahoe blooming. It is a deep dark red. It was hard to get that to photograph well. This is the best I could do. I really love this one! Now only 11 more left to bloom! None of which have any buds at all. Maybe by next month?

I did enlarge the photo. Look at those velvety leaves. Beautiful. I couldn't really see the flowers but got a nice glimpse of them.

Hi Hocking Hills Gardener,
You can have some leaves(-:

Hi blossom,
I tried to take a picture without any flash so it would not change the flower color. So its kinda dark.

Hi Joy,
It is a pretty color! I can send you some leaves if you want to try.

Hi lola,
Thanks it is really pretty!

Hi Meadowview Thymes,
It is fun to see something pretty blooming in the morning!

Hi Kudzu,
Thanks! Things are starting to bloom and grow again(-: Today it is suppose to rain so that will be good too!!! I will be taking more pictures as things get going.

I think it's about stopped raining here. For the first time since the first of the week. Maybe now I can get out there and slog through mud to see what I've still got blooming!
