Two different varieties for your viewing pleasure...Happy Monday!!!
I think they are pretty, but I had no idea what a manzanita was...had to look it up. I don't think they thrive in my neck of the woods. You are going to start making me jealous about your garden, aren't you...
Hi Shelly,Geez I thought Manzanita would grow anywhere(-: It just grows wild here. It is very hardy and it does not get any water except when it rains. I took that picture while on my walk the other day. It is pretty when it blooms. Some people even prune them to make them look ornamental. The bark peels and adds interst in the summer. They also grow round little berries. I don't have any growing in the yard but they are all around me! I will try and get a full shot of one today if it stops raining long enough(-:
I had not heard of it either. Very pretty.
Very interesting indeed...not something I've heard of around my neck of the woods. I forgot you have the Michael's coupons here! I copied a couple in Nov/Dec. Do you work there or have a connection? I love Michaels!
Pretty blooms for the cool dreary Monday! Thanks!! They brightened my day!
Mine are still so very small. They won't survive anyplace where it rains during a warm summer. In California it only rains when it's cold and they've evolved with that.I understand there are some native manzanita species in Colorado somewhere too.
