It's A Sing Along Friday

(You know the song. The words have been changed...)
It's begining to look a lot like springtime.
Everywhere you go;
Take a look in your garden, its growing once again
The grass is to, and needs to have a mow.
It's begining to look a lot like springtime
flowers in every store.
But the prettiest sight to see is the forsythia tree
blooming by my door.

Ah, bright yellow. When the forsythia blooms in Ohio they have an old saying that "there will be three more snows." More often than not it holds true. I am glad you do not get snow, but hey, it doesn't hurt the forsythia blooms at all.

I love its yellow beauty! Don't have one, but have lots of other pretty yellows blooming now!

Ohh! Lovely, I wish we were coming into spring here. We just got 6 more inches of snow here last night. SIGH!

I love forcythia - grew it when I lived in Seattle. You song was very cute. Is Jack getting spring fever?

Beautiful! Isn't this just the weirdest weather we've had? It's so warm and muggy here, and the Easter blossoms are out too early, and I know they'll freeze and turn to black and brown mush and be so ugly for the Easter Egg hunts! The spirea is about to bloom, and the Bridal Bouquet, already had bright yellow Daffodils, too. The hot pinks and reds from the azaleas, and the lavender azaleas that smell so good! The wild yellow carolina jessamine is everywhere and blooming and smelling wonderful. The next sign of spring is seeing the white dogwood blooming on this certain road we drive on. And then......the thick yellow pollen covering every surface and every water puddle and our vehicles.

Hi Skeeter,
My forsythia is near my light too. It looks so pretty at night!

Hi Tina,

Hi Hocking Hills Gardener,
That is a interesting saying. Three more snows. Seems that our winter weather has been just rain this year. It has snowed before in March though. Of course nothing big.(-:

Hi Brenda,
Yellow seems to be a Spring color for sure!!!!

Hi Cinj,
I hope you are warm and toasty there! Your Spring will arrive soon!

Hi Aunt Debbie,
LOL I know that song was on my mind all day too!

Hi My Little Family,
Yeah Jack is ready to play! He wants to be outside as much as possible on nice days(-: There are a lot of fun things to see for him!

Hi Kudzu,
I was just thinking that it seemed early this year but I checked and it was about the same time last year it started to bloom. Easter is later this year though so some things will be all done blooming by then. I think my iris will be ready to bloom about Easter time though. The pollen all over is a big problem for my asthma. I hate that part of spring! Everything is covered in sticky yellow stuff. I always hope for a big rain to come about that time to wash it all away!
