Sign of the Times

A sign we helped my dad make and put up especially for this Election. It is hung on a D8CAT Dozer blade with the arms sticking up in the air. Don't forget to Vote on November 4th!!!

I LIKE that sign! ;-)

Thanks for mentioning voting! I need to go do an absentee ballot this week since we'll be camping the week of the election.

Cute sign. I definately plan on voting too, it's good to remind people to do their civic duty. I started voting when I was 18 and haven't missed voting in a presidential election since then.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend was wonderful too!!

Hi my little family,
Yes we live on a ranch, but it is now in the city. After living in the country for 18 years the city has finally reached us.

Hi renna,
Thank You!(-: I am glad you like the sign. I am sure there will be a lot of negitive comments but thats what happens when you voice your opinion on elections. Oh well.(-:

Hi Cindy,
I started voting when I was 18 also. I come from a long line of dedicated Americans whom fought for our country clear back to the American Revolution! I am a very proud American who is so blessed to be able to have such a great family heritage!!!

Hi lola,
Your Welcome.(-:

My husband and I voted Saturday. We went down 20 minutes before the poll closed and were greeted to 150 people standing outside in line waiting to vote. It was like that the whole morning. Fortunately when closing time came, they let those in line vote. All done here. It will be interesting.

Hi Tina,
I am glad you were able to vote. My dad is almost 80 He lived through the Great Depression. He feels the country is headed there now. He also feels the Country is headed towards another American Revolution. It is scary and I hope those things never happen especially for my childrens sake. Talking with the older generation that has lived through it all is a real eye opener. Young people do not understand the effects things have on a society.

You bring up a lot of important things to think about in your last comment. The older generation knows the signs and see's the destruction on our society. Tell him that my kids are smart for their age and that they know how to keep strong the things he fought for and stood for back in his day. It is not all spoiled on those who take it for granted.

I love the way that sign is mounted.

Hi cindee, got your message. I'm voting for Barack and if I let politics get in between friendships and relationships I'd certainly be in trouble! Of course I don't hate you silly girl. I'll be glad when it's over with though, both campaigns have said some nasty things. I hate when it gets really ugly.

Hi Anna,
My dad will be glad to know that there are still young people who understand history!(-:

Hi Outter Banks Mom,
Thanks for writing!
I can't wait for this to be over either. (-:
We are so lucky to live in the Greatest Country in the World and are Free to Vote for the President we choose, unlike some other countries in the world.(-: I love this Country and am So Proud to be an American!!!(-:

Hi Kathi,
I am pretty sure it would be almost impossible to take down that sign unless you had a backhoe or were a monkey(-:

Hi Debbie,
Working the polls should be fun(-:
Thanks for commenting!!

I still don't know who I'm going to vote for or how I'm going to vote on most of the propositions! And the last thing I want to do is sit down and think about any of it.
