Big Beautiful 5 dollar fern

I was thrilled to see this at the grocery store while I was doing my shopping yesterday. I of course threw it into the basket with the many grocery items I had. It fits the spot I wanted it for in my daughters room perfectly(-: I love bargins!!!

That's a great find. Don't you just love a good deal?

Looks perfect! I love it when they start to mark the summer plants down so they can replace them with winter things! Yippee, getting a good deal is the only way I can justify more STUFF!

Great deal & it looks perfect in your daughters room. I love ferns & in fact I just planted a couple new ones in my SE garden amongst Caladiums, natural ferns {they came up by themselves}, Lilies, polka dot plants, four o'clock s, heukares {sp}. Plus I have a couple old milk cartons upside down with pots sitting on them. Still trying to fill it in.

Hi lola,
Thanks! I love ferns too. Now is the time to get some really good deals in the garden centers.

Hi gail,

A very healthy looking plant. It sounds like bragging, but where I live we have ferns growing out, all over the rock walls of our driving ways. One of the things I enjoy about living on the Oregon coast.

Hi Rick,
I know Oregon is so beautiful. I would love to have ferns growing here like that. It is to hot and dry here. You are so lucky(-:

I have at least two ferns every year. They get so big that I cannot bring them into the house so they end up in the compost pit. I hate that but no room at the Inn... I get new ones each year. If only, I had a green house or attached garage.....

It's gorgeous, Cindee! I love ferns, but apparently not enough to keep them alive. ;-Þ

Great idea.
The grocery store sometimes surprises you.

Hi Cindee,

Love your blog - and looks like you are very creative in lots of ways!

You'd be surprised how many fantastic plants I've picked up at Trader Joe's, and other local supermarkets.

I have tried to work with Godaddy to fix my problems. I'm not feeling well and haven't been able to devote as much time to the fix as I would like. Thank you for telling me.

I love your fern. I got one in early spring, divided it down the middle with a shovel and now I have 4 from that one. They keep on giving.

That is one huge gorgeous fern ! I'm afraid we keep our house as dry as possible and misting ferns is a pain for me .. plus the two furry kids would love to taste it ? LOL .. but hey ... what a bargain girl !
