My Husband took a picture of this tree on his work related drive yesterday. It looks like a scary Halloween tree to me. I could just see this amongst spooky Halloween decorations at a Haunted House! I would really have fun with this tree in my yard.
I have my Granddog all week so I am still not moving on the Halloween stuff here. I guess I will have to post an old picture of my Bat Cage from last year...That outta get you in the mood...(-: Yes, I did make the bats! They are simple to make out of muslin and black paint. I also sanded them down and antiqued them a bit. My brother gave me the old birdcage someone had thrown away at the recycling place. Hopefully today when I get home from work I will get some more goodies out(-:
Here is a Witch I made a couple years ago too. She was fun to make and required a lot of little details which did take a lot of time but I was happy with how she turned out over all.

Cindee, you are so very creative and talented. Those are really neat!
Love the bats and witch! How cleaver of you to make them yourself! Mother Nature is being a bit spooky with her tree...
Cindee, I think you can do anything! The bats and witch you made are great! I am in love with everything you do!
I have to agree with the others Cindee, you are very creative. I love the Witch & the Bat Cage. Very spooky looking tree, wouldn't want it growing in my yard. :)
When you have time, tell us how you made the bats, I love them. Wouldn't it be cool to have them hanging from the ceiling in the entry and on the front stoop?
Cindee--you have so much talent! I hope you will keep showing pictures of your decorations! I love to see what you do!
Love the bats in a cage - how clever! Nice witch too. You did a great job.
That bat cage is great. I think I feel the urge to swipe an idea.
Great ideas Cindee. Love the bats. Witch isn't bad either. I agree with Nola. I too would like to know how you made them. Very creative.
I love that weird tree. As I have said before. You are a ring tailed wonder when it comes to crafting. If it was golf, they would be saying...."You da man" LOL
I have never been much for Halloween, except as a child , of course. I just have to say though that your bat cage is just delightful!! You sure are talented!
I believe that tree could be haunted. Wonderful photo. Thank your husband for sharing.
Marnie
Hi Renna,
Thanks I love to sew! Almost as much as gardening...(-:

Hi meadowview thymes,
Thanks for your comments. I did put up a few more things this morning so I will be taking pictures for you tomorrow(-:
Hi nola,
I will look for my bat pattern and post it on here. They are easy to sew. I added a piece of wire in the wings so you can bend them whichever way you want(-:
Hi my little family,
Thanks!!!!(-:
Hi aunt debbi,
I am glad you like the bats/cage. Have fun making your own. Please post a picture for us all(-:
Hi lola,
I promise to look for the bat pattern. Its simple. you just need some muslin material and batting/paint.
Hi Eve,
Thanks! LOL Ring Tailed Wonder. Thats a funny one(-: I love creating things.
Hi spookydragonfly,
Thanks!! I love Halloween time. Of course candy might be the real draw for the kids but I always had fun Trick or Treating with them too!!
Hi Marnie,
Yeah I think that tree is haunted...(-: It is always fun to see something like that grow in nature all by itself!
I'd love to make a scarecrow or witch. (I love your witch!) I'm not real sure how to go about it. But I hate the made-up ones in the store. They always look cheap and tacky to me.
Brenda
Hi Brenda,
I am going to make a scarecrow if I can find some overalls to stuff. I want a life sized one to sit on my porch holding my cage of bats. I gotta get on that asap(-: I used a pattern for the witch and just sewed her adding my own little twists here and there(-;
Thanks for stopping in(-:
I remember your bat cage from last year. I loved it. And that tree is a wonderful spooky old tree. Pity it's not in your yard.
