The boys decided they wanted to have a photo op too since Mrs. Cranky Pants is getting all the attention lately! So here they are in all their glory!!!!
Oh, they're so majestic! I love roosters! Hated them growing up cause they always pecked at my legs. But I love them from "afar" now!Brenda
I bet they make a racket at dawn! I would love to have chickens, but my little dog Spaz would give them anxiety. :)
Great looking gentlemen, but if you look close she isn't far away.
Hi Brenda, Roosters are pretty and I like them just that usually they become mean and attack me so far these guys have not done that.Hi perennial gardener,Yes, They are crowing as soon as there is a hint of light(-:Jack harrasses the chickens too but they don't pay attention to him. Hi Lola,That hen in the picture is an aracauna. She is not the mother of the babies. I should have gotten a picture of the biological mother. LOL Tomorrows project(-:
What a beauty! And he wakes you up too! what more can you ask of a rooster? Well, not to nip your soft parts but no one is perfect.
Wow, I bet you don't need an alarm clock!
LOL! They're cute.
Every spring when at Tractor Supply and seeing the cute little chicks, it is so tempting to get a few but with us having coyote and fox trot through our yard, it would be a struggle to keep them alive. I would make them my pets and if they laid eggs I could not eat them! lol. We use to get fresh eggs from some neighbors up the street but I never went near where the hens were for fear I would never eat another egg after looking into their eyes! LOL. I know I am a silly goose….
