I like the cake pan flowers! I love your garden. Doesn't the duck fit in there so nicely? We have some of the same tastes, I think!!
You have such a creative mind! I'll have to keep my eye out for pans at thrift stores and garage sales. :-)
Nasturtiums! Ohhhh, I am so envious. It is just too hot here for those, but I would have some if I could. Love the cake pan flowers!
Pammiejo, glad you like the cake pan flowers the duck is a fun addition to the flower garden. It is a large duck too. Renna, Thanks! I see the cake pans at the Salvation Army and thrift shops whenever I go.Meadowview thymes, The Nasturtiums seem to grow really well here. I never had much luck until I planted them in mostly sand...go figure...(-: I see them along the beaches all the time so I thought maybe they like growing in sand. It gets so hot here in the summer 110-120 and they seem to do just fine. My beach garden wouldn't be complete without them blooming(-:
Oh, I love them! Please give us a How-to!Brenda
that is a nice cake pan flower!arlene,Tacoma flowers
Hi Brenda,The flowers are old cake pans that I bought at the salvation army. I just drilled a hole in a piece of conduit pipe and the cake pan and put a bolt through them both. It is easier to put the pipe into the ground first then bolt them together. The whole project you could say is..."a piece of cake"(-:
I love the flowers, Cindee!! The real and the fake! :)
Oh I love the cake pan flowers! I gonna to the thrift store right now! Oh wait the kids are sleeping, okay later. This is a great project to do with kiddos. Thanks for sharing.
Piece of cake! :)I love them. That is just wonderful. I love your creativity. That is one of the most delightful things I have seen recently. I am always looking interesting things for a section of my garden. I grew up by the ocean, and I have collected lots of old beach glass, vintage bottles etc...Best,Philip
