Looking for a Mate

Isn't she a cutie?
I took her picture for her very own personal ad. (-: I have seen several males around at the pond but all had mates already. I guess she needs to advertise more(-:
Poor thing hopefully she makes her love connection soon!

Wisteria Lane

At least they are real(-: LOL This year the flowers are huge and beautiful. I didn't prune last fall because I wanted a huge display this spring. I was not disapointed at all. I will have to do some major prunning on the vine or it will take over my house...(-: But for now it sure is pretty to look at and smell(-: Enjoy!!!

The loss of a Pet

I felt compelled to write a short blog today about the loss of our dearly loved pets. Last year the day after Easter our beloved dog Boe passed away from cancer. It was a very sad time for us and we still miss him terribly. Although time has passed and I have another dog I love tons I still think of Boe and remember the good old times! We have lost several beloved pets over the years. To many to list in one blog. Seems like they only join us for a short time and then something happens to take them to Heaven. Anyhow, to all of you who have lost pets there is a wonderful website that someone shared with me when Boe died. I remembered it again today when my friend from work told me her cat passed away on Monday. Her family is having a hard time dealing with the loss. They had their "Kitty" for 16 years. Anyhow, I shared the link with her and I hope you will enjoy it as well.

Wood Duck Housing Project

The Wood Ducks are ready to start their families and one of the houses lost a roof during our wild winter weather! My DH repaired the roof and its good to go. Hopefully, one of the mated pairs moves in soon(-: Woodies are so fun to watch. They are so secretive but, they are also very entertaining. We have hatched many baby Wood Ducks over the years that were from dump nests. We release them when they are ready. My brother usually keeps the wood ducks houses in top shape but, he hasn't been able to get up here to do it. So at least now they can get to their nest building! I will post more later about the Woodies when I have another update.

Painting and Wallpaper Border is Up!

Ta Da....(-: I still have a lot to do to finish but at least the painting is done and the wallpaper border is done. I think it turned out pretty cool(-: That's all I have been working on lately. I caught a cold from a co-worker so I am not feel that great at the moment. Grrrrrrr)-: Hopefully, I can get more done over the weekend when I am feeling back to normal. It is suppose to be raining again this weekend so that means more inside time.
Outside things are growing like crazy. I have forsethia blooming and the Star Magnolia is blooming too. I need to get a picture of that for you. Its beautiful(-: I love how it smells too. Unfortunately, I am all stuffed up so I can't enjoy that part right Anyhow...hope you all have a great day and can enjoy the Spring flowers!!!!!
